David and i spent a day wandering through Tates Hell where i netted some of the sites that the group raced by chasing the last remaining daylight. More cool stuff netted and my map now marked. This friendly Pigeon was walking down the road nonchalant and we almost got him to hop in the van. Note the color bands on his legs. I was hoping to get him back to Chattanooga, track down the owner and tell him i found him sitting by the cement pond at Blue Fish Ridge.
I tried to reason with the pigeon, telling of the Tates Hell dangers, and even did some gentle swinging of the dipnet. Alas. David and i even tried to "herd" him with a seine.
