Shorthead Redhorse (Moxostoma macrolepidotum) during spawn

Caught just before the spawn in the spring of 2015, this female Shorthead Redhorse (Moxostoma macrolepidotum) would have beaten the current state record (3.74 lbs) for the species by about .25 pounds. By the time I found a certified scale, she had lost weight and just missed (3.73 lbs).
